Doris McGirt - Walter Walla

Medical Sales Consultants, GmbH in Vienna, Austria was started in 2003 as an extension of Medical Sales Consultants International, Inc. of North Carolina, U.S.A. Both companies are owned by Doris McGirt, a native of North Carolina and a resident of Vienna, Austria. Doris has a Master’s degree in Cardiovascular Nursing from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Alabama, U.S.A. and has more than 30 years experience working in hospitals throughout the world. Through her North Carolina company, and prior to starting the GmbH, Doris spent 10 years working in the Middle East, Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia with some of the world’s largest and most respected medical manufacturers and physicians.

With the start of the GmbH in 2003, Doris has focused mainly on the import and distribution of emergency medical products in Austria and other European countries. Medical Sales Consultants, GmbH works with innovative American, British, Canadian and Israeli manufacturers to bring products that are critically needed to local European markets.

In 2004, Walter Walla, a 30 year veteran of Vienna Ambulance, joined the team at Medical Sales Consultants, GmbH. His first hand experience in pre-hospital emergency care is invaluable in identifying those products that best suit the European market and in assuring each customer is fully trained and qualified to work with the products.
